Ben Hoiness

Ben grew up in Montana and eventually found home base at the foot of the Beartooth Mountains. He is a tinkerer, perpetually passionate about designing, building and progressing his craft. Drawing inspiration from the mountains you can see that most of his designs are rooted in simplicity and built with materials that will last.

AKA Jimmy Beams / FOUNDER
James grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota, and because of that he will immediately make friends with you and offer to bring you a jar of his mom’s homemade spicy pickles. An army veteran deployed to Afghanistan and teacher of young minds at both the high schools in Roberts and Red Lodge, James has lived a life of service. Tendaro is an extension of that, but with an element of creativity and freedom new to him. James built and lived in a tiny house until upgrading to a log home beneath the mountains, which he is currently renovating. He is familiar with the connections we have to our homes and passionate about creating timeless and personalized spaces.
